These were bought at various stages of his career. He usually picked out his own pipes but a few were gifted by other entertainers and artists as gifts. Some of these pipes have heavy use, some do not. Jerry Lee’s favorite (or older) pipes have signs of use and many can be located in photos of Jerry Lee Lewis. We decided not to clean them but send them in the condition as indicated in the recently taken photos.
These were his favorites and we thought about having them professionally cleaned and restored but were advised to sell them in AS IS condition by celebrity item and pipe collectors, one of whom stated that, “The Killer’s DNA is likely within each of these pipes if they want to clone him). Some may need professional (or knowledgable cleaners) cleaning and possibly some restoration by professionals which are easy to locate. Even the pipes made with .925 silver have not been polished or cleaned beyond light wiping with a silk cloth. They are being sold “AS IS,” as important pieces of rock & roll history.
Many of these are rare editions, makers and designers and vintage so they are no longer made. Many are rare and we could not find them available for sale online in our searches.
