Twisted South started as Twisted South Magazine which with a few talented people broke records in 2010 with their premiere issue which featured an epic cover of Billy Bob Thornton. The largest orders for an indie owned and operated hard copy magazine flooded in, breaking records with Barne's & Noble, Borders, Billboard, Hasting's Music and newsstands in every state in the union. We won Library Journal's coveted Best New Magazine 2010 and received their coveted, "Star," meaning the "one to watch out for. We did this with a fraction of the staff and money Rolling Stone Magazine had in the 1960s' and a mere fraction of their money even, 'way back then'.We later featured Jerry Lee Lewis after Little Richard had to delay due to medical reasons. We featured the founder of the Hells Angels, Sonny Barger. We never worried about politics we were all about Southern Culture (as experienced by all races),food, music, fashion, art and literature from the diverse roots of all peoples who shared the experience of the artistic and cultural explosion of the American South.Oddly, are biggest fanbase was from Europe and the American, "North." Twisted South Radio followed and was a, "Who's Who," of Southern music enthusiasts.
