Event - Worn at home and on the stage. This was a turbulent drug-fueled, circus time for my daddy. - Phoebe Allen Lewis (biological daughter / Manager during his most profitable years). He was flying high when this vest was purchased in the 1970's if someone wants to research the serial number they might get an exact date and other information, it might have been bought in the late 1960's but we think it was early 1970's. Jerry had private planes including a DC-3 and toured like a maniac, producing drug fueled but incredible work during this time frame. Considering the miles on this vest, it is in incredible shape. It was made by hand to last. MEALYS clothed rock stars and top country stars during that era. There is a lot of hand work in this piece.

Arturo is also the high-end line of Burray Olson who provided leather jackets for ELVIS, Santana, Steven Segal, Jefferson Airplane, Janis Joplin, The Doobie Brothers. Dr. John, Billy Idol, country duo Brooks and Dunn, Lynyrd Skynyrd, George Jones, and even the legendary Groucho Marx wore Arturo Arocha leather jackets/vests.
