NOTES -
Few artisans can still create this extreme complexity of hand crafted design. Every single curve was worked by hand. This cannot be replicated by any machine even with AI at this time. This is artistry likely from 19th Century. The Chinese often gilded Silver with gold. This is not a cheap piece by any means. It would take a master gold/silversmith a lot of time to create this piece and it likely was bought in China by a wealthy tourist, brought over when a Chinese person immigrated, or a minister or opium trader would have picked it up. Few people could enter China during this period and those who did were important or wealthy. Made In China used to indicate high quality and only in the 20th Century did it become cheaper mass marketed goods. They adopted the French Paisley pattern to attract European and Americans to buy.
